What is Zepbound?

Zepbound (tirzepatide 2.5mg-15mg) is the weight management formulation of tirzepatide. Clinical trials (SURMOUNT-1) showed average weight loss of ~22% at the 15mg dose over 72 weeks — among the highest in clinical trials for any obesity medication.

FDA Approval Status

FDA-approved November 2023 for chronic weight management. Most recently approved GLP-1-class weight loss medication.

Dosing Schedule

2.5mg once weekly, increasing by 2.5mg every 4 weeks up to 15mg maximum.

Eligibility Criteria

BMI ≥30 kg/m², or BMI ≥27 kg/m² with at least one weight-related condition.
